Happy Friday !! This week we’re heading to MEET Izakaya Bar @meetizakayany in Rockville Centre in Long Island, NY.
.
Upon entering your temperature is checked. Long Island restaurants have in door seating available. Which is a plus during the last few frighted days in New York. Reservations are made only via phone so make sure you call a head to book.
.
The Japanese resturant takes a modern yet traditional approach which transports you to an atmosphere that is mellow yet lively. The seating layout separates you from other patrons and hand sanitizer is offered by your waiter.
. It might take you a minute well starch that a few minutes to choose what to eat or drink. Everything looks amazing and I mean it! The menu is filled with rich and vivid photos for each dish. The waiter I we - May, was delight and enthusiastic which added to the success of the night.
.
Let’s get into the food shall we… ! To drink I had the Sparkling Elderflower which is a new to the menu. The drink was smooth with a hit of cucumber, Elderflower liqueur and a mix of 1908 Gin. The blueberries on top add sweetness and texture to the drink. I enjoyed every moment of this drink and highly recommend.
.
For appetizers I under estimated the amount of food I could handle. The Seafood Tempura was amazing..filled with shrimp, scallop, and mixed vegetables this is a seafood lovers dish. Share with others or eat alone this good and you might want more eel sauce .. .I sure did.
The fried calamari was okay, it wasn’t my favorite for night. For entree I had the Seafood Ramen with Spicy Miso. The meal was packed with flavor from the shrimp, scallops, egg, black fungus, fish cakes, and noodles of course. The spicy miso was a great addition to this dish as which adds an infusion of seasoning that sneaks up on you in satisfying way.
.
Overall the experience was excellent, I enjoyed every moment and didn’t want to leave. I suggest checking out @meetizakayany the options are endless leaving a section for everyone to enjoy. I’ll be going back for sure.
