Happy Foodie Friday!! Hope everyone had a great week. This time were heading to Ginger Lemongrass in Queens, NY. The options to eat outside in front of the establishment or inside the venue are both available depending on the time of your arrival.
The outdoor dining décor is hands down my favorite, you can tell the restaurant took their time engineering and curating this space. The stand-alone space is bright and open with windows surrounding the structure, artificial grass on the floors, tan tables and benches. The ceiling light fixtures hang above or an intimate dine at night as the clear dividers separating you from other patriots.
.
If you do decide to eat inside the décor corresponds to the outdoor space but with more of a tranquil yet vibrant feel. As plants placed throughout against stone grays ceilings, white countertops, and wood walls. Yellow chairs provided a pop of color against the blue walls which both brighten and made the space inviting.
.
Let’s get into these eats. First off, they have a great selection of beverages that are non-alcoholic. You can get alcoholic drinks if you like. I had the Passion Fruit Lemonade which was light, energizing and sweet enough to quinch your thirst. This drink can be served hot as well. Fresh cucumber mint water is set on your table as well if you prefer to drink water instead.
.
For an appetizer I had the Grilled Salmon roll which is a cold roll with green tea noodles, veggies and herbs in the rice wrap was perfection. This dish was mouth-watering, the warm salmon and the cold noodles complimented nicely along with dipping sauce. The sauce was tangy yet sweet, I suggest using your hands while eating the rolls as holding a roll with the chopsticks became difficult.
Let’s get into the entrée, I had the Chicken PHO from the soup section on the menu. The Chicken PHO consist of grilled chicken pieces with cilantro, Thai Basil, onions, scallions, bean sprouts, jalapeños, noodles, lime and homemade chili oil. This is dish very hot so give it a few minutes to cool down. In addition, you’ll have two size options I got the large but the small size in an option to choose from as well.
The soups was savoring with flavor as the union of the seasonings, soft chicken, noodles, and red onions this is one heck of a meal. Take your time and enjoy this meal every bite is worth it.
You’ll also have the option to add spices to the Vietnamese soup as an arrangement of options are offered with the meal. I’ll be back soon to try another dish and some more drinks.
