Caribbean Soul Rooftop

Updated: Feb 25, 2022

Happy New Year!!! 2021 better respect our journey okay.

.

This restaurant was so good I went twice. Yes...you read that correctly. Caribbean Soul Restaurant, Lounge and Rooftop in Queens, NY is a unique experience inside out. @caribbeansoulnyc

.

The first time I was able to dine outside on the rooftop.

.

The rooftop has lounge style which is separated by sections for social distancing. Even a swing-

chair area with a Caribbean vibe to take a flick for the gram.

.

The menu is filled options which might make you take a few minutes to decide what to eat.

.

I got the Pineapple Jerk Salmon with vegetables, pineapples and rice n peas. By far the spiciest one I’ve ever had. I wasn’t ready which was shocking but didn’t take away from the favorable dish.

My second time I was able to eat inside – when indoor eating was allowed in NYC. Upon entering the front half seems to be for ordering out and pick up. A few steps further the entrance to the restaurant. The indoor space effortless and inviting, with a photo op area filled with flowers, a swing and lighting as it set a grove soul vibe for your flicks.

.

Let’s get into the eats. I enjoyed the Caribbean Soul Colada which was sweeter than expected yet still good. If you’re a lover of pina colada this is the one for you.

The Cod Fish Fritters ... OMG the fact we ordered them twice says enough. The cod fish fritters are delicious then with the sauce .. amazing.

For entrée I had the Chef Special- Pineapple Fried Rice Bowl with Shrimp. This is a dish that could be shared if like or could be eaten by one with some necessary time finish.

Served in a Pineapple with fired rice, nine fried shrimps surrounded with red onions, carrots, tomatoes, a lemon and turmeric sauce (I believe) either way the sauce was great. The service, food and experience overall were impeccable. Check out @caribbeansoulnyc
