C Kew Gardens

This gem is truly a neighborhood treasure. I stumbled upon C Kew Gardens Lounge and Restaurant on a mid-day walk, and tell you, the decor and aesthetics had me at hello. I had to come back to experience it. This Italian eatery is every bit of decadence and divine service. I made reservations as the space is quaint, with seating available inside and out. Upon entering, the double doors give a classic European style that is modern yet romantic as this vibe continues throughout the lounge.

Vibes at C Kew Gardens

Chandeliers hang from the ceilings, and palm tree wallpaper against checkered white and black tiles flows throughout the floor. The lovely charm continued when dining for dinner. The lights are dim as each table is illuminated by candlelight and accompanied by a natural plant.

The bar is overflowed with flowers with red lighting cascaded over, providing a warm yet sexy atmosphere. The same romantic theme thrives throughout the lounge, whether you sit on the floral banquet or the red chairs. We sat at the banquet and approached instantly with the scanned QR code for the menu.

Open for Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner. C Kew Gardens also has a late-night menu from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am.

The drink of choice for the night was the Mona Lisa! Once I saw the Farmer's Botanical Gin and fresh ginger juice... it had me at hello. This drink is slightly sweet but refreshing and does not overpower the fresh raspberries or gin. The Mona-Lisa blends Framer's botanical gin, select aperitivo, fresh ginger juice, lime juice, and agave simple syrup. The drink blends effortlessly; you'll be asking for more... we sure did.

Fresh bread with olive oil was served next to a candlelight to start the experience. You can ask for as much bread and olive oil as your heart desires.

I can't say this enough: take your time reviewing the menu. The options are endless for everyone. For an appetizer, I had the Calamari, called the Calamari Fritti !!! BY FAR, it's the best I've had. The calamari and zucchini are fried until golden brown with a side of Lemon Aioli... just perfection. The calamari and zucchini together were effortless, with a crispy exterior. You won't need to squeeze the lemon on it. The dipping sauce should be made in a jar to purchase. It’s a great dish to share or savor for yourself.

For the antipasto (entree in Italian), I broke my diary diet for this one. You have to go for a traditional dish. I went for the Lasagna Verde Di Bologna, a chef's kiss! This lasagna is unreal from the unique take on a classic dish along with top-tier quality... I relished every bite. This dish is a grandma's lasagna recipe with homemade spinach dough, béchamel ( white sauce- a cooked mixture of butter, flour, and milk.), bolognese beef filet, and 24-month-old parmigiana reggiano.

The entire dish magnifies lasagna to the next level and excels in your tastebuds. You won't look at lasagna the same again; I commend the chef for taking a chance on this dish. The spinach dough and bolognese beef filet changed the dish concept along with the 24-month-aged parmigiana reggiano. Wait, and the béchamel... the entire dish was a win for me. The dish is soft yet textured to taste every ingredient included. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Make reservations to avoid waiting or not getting a table at all. I'll be back for brunch and dinner again very soon. Check out C Kew Gardens in Queens, NY.
