Friday is finally here and it’s time to get into the eats for the week. This time we’re checking out Brooklyn Beso in Brooklyn, NY. The space has a variety of seating options from the outdoor space in front, the bar/indoor seating or the Heated Garden in the back which is by far my favorite.
We sat in the Heated Garden which is and outdoor closed in space. Bright mural of the flags of the countries which make up the Caribbean and a large vibrant painting of a parrot. The ambiance transports you to a tropical oasis leaving you relaxed and ready to have a good time.
We came for brunch and literally stayed for 3 hours... the food was just that good.

The brunch menu is no joke, with a unique variety of dishes from Lentil Burger, Lobster and Grits, Po Boy, and Surf & Turf Waffles you’ll be looking at the menu for a while. Brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays you want to get there early as the space will fill up quick.

To drink we had the Hibiscus Ginger Cider in a bottle, this bottle alone gives two drinks per person. If you love Sorrel this is the drink for you, the way this was made was just right with white rum. So much we ordered it twice.

As I mentioned the menu will have you choosing more than one meal. In this case we asked the waitress and I’m glad we did. I got the Tres Leche French Toast… I’m not big on French toast but this wasn’t your average toast. The toast was a thick Challah, Tres leche batter made into this toast with Hibiscus – Berry Jam. Wow let’s talk about how moist and hefty the French toast was the Hibiscus-berry jam added additional texture and sweet savory flavor. You can taste the Tres leche and let me not forget about the powdered sugar.
This was a hit hands down, for sides we got Bacon, Sweet Plantain and Seasoned Fries. All were delicious especially when it came to the Sweet Plantain oh my it was made so well, we got it twice. The plantain was soft and crispy around the edges.

The only issue was the wait time as the staff was short for the day besides that the vibe was lively with the music and you didn’t want to leave even you plans for the rest of the day. I’ll be back again soon. Check out @brooklynbeso
